The East Baton Rouge Parish Library sells gently used books, DVDs, CDs, LPs and more every month in its Recycle Reads Gift Books Sale.
Recycled Reads contains all kinds of books for sale -
fiction, cookbooks, textbooks, history, travel, art, crafts, children's and
many more. Books are priced at $1 for hardbacks, larger-format paperbacks,
DVDs, and audiobooks, and 25 cents for pocket paperbacks. Sales will be cash
only. All sale items are gifts that the Library does not require to add to its
collection, therefore, the items are shared with patrons. Proceeds of the sale
go to the Patrons of the Public Library, the Library's friends group. The
Patrons of the Public Library help in funding children's programming during the
summer and throughout the year, such as the Author/Illustrator Program and
other programs designed for the community.
The sales take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the downtown
library, 3434 North Blvd. in Baton Rouge, on the following dates:
- April 27
- May 25
- June 29
- July 27
- Aug. 31
- Sept. 28
