Pelican authors to sign books this weekend

            Several authors published with Pelican Publishing out of New Orleans will be signing books Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 1-2, 2014, at Tubby & Coo's Mid-City Book Shop, 631 N Carrollton Ave. in New Orleans.
            They are:
            Saturday, Nov. 1: Denise McConduit, author of The Boy Who Wouldn't Read from 10:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.; Patrice Keller Kononchek, author of In a While, Crocodile: New Orleans Slow Cooker Recipes, 11 a.m.-noon; Stephen Rea, author of Finn McCool's Football Club: The Birth, Death, and Resurrection of a Pub Soccer Team in the City of the Dead, noon and Richard Read, author of The French Quarter Drinking Companion and Marvin Allen, author of Magic in a Shaker: A Year of Spirited Libations, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

            Sunday, Nov. 2: Ryan Adam, author of New Orleans Mother Goose, 10:30 a.m.-10:45 a.m.; Dianne de Las Casas, author of Cinderellapant, 10:45 a.m.-11 a.m.; and Phil Sandusky, author of Painting Katrina, Laura Roach Dragon, author of Hurricane Boy and Ann Benoit, author of New Orleans' Best Ethnic Restaurants, 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
